56- Question 4 Evaluation Task






I used Bubbl.com to make a mind map of all the media technologies i used in the construction, research, planning and evaluation stage. Below is the mind map i made:

Planning 

Video and ancillary Tasks - For the planning of our video we used a Canon Camera to film and take photos on. We used Blogger.com to post all of our course work and blog posts on to. We used the internet for a big part of the planning such as Google and Twitter. For the preproduction and after production of my music video i used a large amount of media technologies. 

 Research 
Using media technologies for research for our music video and ancillary tasks were a crucial part of being able to actually get some research and research methods. We used things such as social media such as Twitter and WhatsApp to ask our friends and family and in some case complete strangers for different types of research we completed. We used things such as Survey Monkey to complete questionnaires for people to complete. We also used YouTube to look at other people's music videos for research so that we could get ideas of what other people liked and different styles to inspire our own music video. 

 Construction
For the actual making of our music video, media technologies were very important, to actually make our music video we used a canon camera to film on then we used iMovie on my MacBook Air to edit and put the music video together. Photoshop was very important when making both of our Ancillary Tasks with using pictures we took on canon camera and we had to use our iPhone cameras for some of the pictures. 

 Evaluation 

 For the final part of our course work, it has been heavily depended on media technologies, we used Survey Monkey in order to complete evaluation on our music video, to be able to see what the audience thought of it. We then used YouTube to put our music video on to which allowed a lot of people to view it. Other technologies were very important such as the cameras we used, a Canon camera and an iPhone camera and we uploaded it on to our MacBook Air.

Post 12 evaluation

We managed to get all the filming done quite quickly. The opening scene was filmed on our way to the main location so we got the intro done on the first take which saved us a lot of time and meant that we already had the first 50 seconds of the song covered. Whilst walking to our location, we took a few shots of our actress Liv just walking, which was useful for the parts of the song where there is no singing. Altogether, we went through the song about 8 times until we had all the footage we needed. The first take was still a bit awkward and my two other team members Jess and Evie had to turn away whilst Liv was singing which made it easier for her not to laugh. Singing the song out loud was strange at first, as there were some people passing and looking over, but it definitely helped Liv’s accuracy in lip syncing and made her singing more authentic.
